Working Stiffs

Episode Overview: For anyone who hasnt seen the movie Office space a low budget cult hit then CSI probably just seemed like the workplace from hell crime story. However anyone that has seen it caught all of the small details that my brother and I saw. The theme of this weeks episode was the loyalty and complexities of the workplace.

The Crime: A workplace loser Pauli Krill who never gets the girl or the appreciation for his work devised a scheme to steal from the Casino Tangiers. After his supposed just for fun plan was discovered by his narcassistic coworker all hell breaks loose. As the perfect plan drives Pauli to quit the entire scheme he violently beats the narcassistic coworker to a bloody pulp. Working stiffs truly went into the killers head with the flashbacks that made us semi-sympthetic for Pauli. Who didnt dislike the cute geeky guy who was a womanizing manipulator?

The Characters: In this episode and other episodes in general this season there is some more clues to Ray's seemingly confusing life outside of the crime lab. The only one on the team to be clueing in to all the weird things he says is Nick. There is certainly more to Ray than we know and Nick is trying to peice it together.

Brass was without his cool cop demeanor this week and he came off as rude towards Belinda the female suspect. In front of Pauli he disclosed personal information of her sleeping with the geek and was quite cold in sharing the news of his death.

This was a good episode for Hodges. The obvious attempts to impress Ray are hilariously awkward as is the cheesy forensic web show he has seemingly created. Needless to say we need him or how would those procedures be described in such a lucid and entertaining way?

Favorite Parts of Working Stiffs:
Office Space References: TPS reports!!!
Dream Escape Sequence: Perfect music, directing and very thought provoking
Iphone a**hole joke: Hey theres an app for that! poking fun at obnoxious geeky iphone users
Hodges: Every scene with him I love you could say Im a fanatical fan of the awkward hilarity
More info on Ray: Interesting character developments
Extras this week: Newman from Seinfeld looking way older
Procedure Stuff: Interesting science processes
